+VBS OPTIONS   We won’t be able to have a Negaunee Ecumenical VBS this summer as new leadership did not step forward. However, there is an option.

 · VBS at Eastwood Apostolic Lutheran Church (121 Sunset Dr, Negaunee) for ages 3 years to 6th grade, June 18-21 from 9:30am-Noon (with a VBS Family & Friends Night June 21 at 7:00pm). Register online at or call 906-475-4850.

+LUTHER TREE TO BE PLANTED  Honoring the 500 year Luther Legacy, a tree will be planted at Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp  during Women and Kid’s Week, this Wednesday, June 20, 2018, following lunch.  This tree is a gift from the Immanuel Women of the ELCA, recognizing Luther’s determination to spread the faith in Jesus Christ to all generations as our forefathers did in dedicating this Place of Grace for future generations.  You are invited to join us for a short dedication ceremony and participation in this historic event. It is hoped that as we and our children watch this tree grow, our faith and love in this beloved place will also continue to grow.  If you plan to attend, call the Fortune Lake office at 906-214-2267.  Car pooling can be arranged with Jonelle Collins (475-9177).

+Faithfull Questioning “Disarming Scripture”   … continues for 2 more Wednesday evenings at 6 pm in the Fellowship Hall. If you have not attended yet, come and join the group. We can’t ignore the violence in the  Bible.  How are we to make sense of the God who comes to us in both Old and New Testaments? The book is by Derek Flood. The author suggests reading the whole Bible within the context of the life & teaching of  Jesus. The book is available from Amazon in both paperback & Kindle versions. Need help? Questions? Call Dave Keranen (486-8147) or Pastor Steve (475-9161). Hope to see you this week!

+THANKS TO ALL OF YOU THAT HELPED TO MORE THE ITEMS FROM THE SUNDAY SCHOOL AREA TO THE ROOMS ACROSS THE HALL FROM THERE. YOUR HELP WAS GREATLY APPRECIATED.  When the carpeting it done, we will again need help to more the items back to the Sunday School area. Your help will be appreciated again, but, when? We’ll let you know.
