+ALTAR FLOWERS  The Altar flowers today are in Memory of Hilja Lahde and Raymond Jarvi, from June, Dale, Jill, Bryce, and Jhon Jarvi; Chyrl, John, and Lindsey Hemmila; Christine and Wlliam Flis.

+SYMPATHY & GOD’S PEACE TO:  Reverend Steve Solberg on  the loss of his wife & partner, Reverend Marcia Lorraine Solberg, on Thursday, December 7th. Also condolences to their daughters, Anna and Sara Solberg, her sister, Miriam D. LeMaitre of Ann  Arbor; her brother, Mark D. Koschade of Colorado, and all of the Solberg / Koschade Family.

+ANGEL TREE PROJECT  Immanuel Lutheran Church participates in an Angel Tree Project each year which provides Christmas presents to children of inmates at Christmas time.  This is another way we can express love for the families of those who are incarcerated.  Thank You to All of You who either donated and/or shopped for our Angel Tree Children.  You are truly angels here on earth.  The packages will be mailed out this week to make sure the children will get their packages before Christmas.  The families will truly be blessed and happy with all of God’s love being sent to them.  Thank you again very much.

+CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS  Don’t forget to order your Christmas Poinsettia.  A form to fill out can be found on the table in the hallway and then turn it in to the office or leave it on the ‘offering tray’. A donation of $10.00 is suggested per plant. The deadline for  orders is this Tuesday, December 19th.  Thank you.

+Good Gifts for Advent/Christmas – An Advent  Ornament Tree will be displayed in the west  entry of the church that will support ELCA Good Gifts. Good Gifts provides direct support for churchwide ministries of the ELCA and our Advent tree this year will support God’s Global Barnyard. What do you give to someone who really says, “I don’t need anything”?  How about an ornament? Choose from cows, pigs, goats, chicks, or honey bees.

+3rd SUNDAY OFFERING … is this weekend.  It goes for  Ester, our Compassion International child living with her family in N. Tanzania.  The offering goes for her care, with any extra going to support a Tanzanian student at Finlandia University in Hancock, MI. Thank you for the “noise” of your coins, your prayers, and your support.

+SUPPORT FOR A MISSION?   Marcus & Danielle Songer, two members of our congregation who have been involved in ministerial duties here at the church, are planning to go on a mission trip to Guatemala in March, 2018, to help build housing for widows and will help to build a water filtration system.  If anyone is interested in helping them with any of the costs, please indicate it on any donation you may make. Thank you in advance for any help you are willing to give.

+COUNTERS / COUNTER CAPTAINS NEEDED  Are you  willing to volunteer to count the donations occasionally?  We are in need of counters; in particular, counter captains.  A training session will be provided. It is not difficult. Counting takes place on Tuesdays at 9:00 am and usually lasts 1-1 1/2 hours.  There are 3 persons counting each Tuesday. Call the office at 475-9161 if you can help.

+2018 CONTRIBUTION BOXES  If you haven’t already picked up your 2018 Contribution Box, please do so.  They are located near the stairs and the Fellowship Hall doors. They contain your NEW envelope number.  So, starting in January, 2018, PLEASE DO NOT USE YOUR OLD ENVELOPES TO MAKE ANY DONATION(S), AS THE NUMBER ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE DIFFERENT.  Thank you!!
