 Have you ever waved back at someone you beleive to be waving at you only to discover they're waving at someone else? We can hear that "...God so loved the world that He gave His only Son," and we can be left wondering if God is really talking to us. In Holy Baptism, God comes directly to us and embraces us so that there is no doubt to whom God is speaking. When the water comes upon us, God's Word attached is for us, for you. Holy Baptism is not some work that we do, but receiving the gift of God, a gift offered to people of all ages.
