ELCA GOOD GIFTS - What do you get for someone who has everything?  A Goat, or tree   perhaps?  Through ELCA Good Gifts, we can help provide a family with independence and sustainability.  Here’s how it works.  There is a Good Gift Advent Tree with various ornaments – a goat, fruit tree, or school fees, for example – that represent the gift you may purchase.  The ornaments range from $10 - $500 each.  You may leave your contribution in the office (envelopes will be provided by the tree), and take the ornament that you choose.  If you are purchasing the gift in honor of another person, you may personalize the back of the ornament and give it to the recipient in recognition of the gift.

Christmas Food Collection for Negaunee  Salvation Army.  Beginning, Sunday, November 25 there will be boxes for food donations that will be taken to the Salvation Army on December 17.  If you are interested in donating a turkey or ham and those items can be brought to church on December 15 & 16.

6:00 pm Thursday Bible Study: This Bible study class will not be held until the Thursday after Thanks-giving.  Come and join us then.  If we confess the cross is the place where we see God revealed most fully, then we need to reconsider all of our assumptions and statements about God in light of what happens to Jesus, the man “hanging on a tree.” The book we are discussing is entitled “Making Sense of the Cross.”  We’ve started,  but you can join in.

ANGEL TREE PROGRAM  Once again, Immanuel is sponsoring an Angel Tree Program where gifts are provided for children of incarcerated individuals at Christmas time. We have 15 children this year. They range in age from 3 to 17 years of age, 7 females and 8 males. If you would like to be an ‘Angel’ this year and decide to sponsor a child by buying gifts for them (in the range of $25 is suggested) please pick up a name from the office. Or if you don’t want to shop for things but would like to donate toward the Program monies are accepted and someone will shop for you. Thank you in advance for any donations you may make.

CHRISTIAN WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP  Don’t forget, on Thursday, December 6th, at 9:30 am, the Christian Women’s Fellowship will meet in the Fellowship for a brunch and information talk. The cost is still $7.00 and all women are welcome to come and enjoy food and fellowship.

ALPHA COURSE, continues Sundays at 5:00 pm at Bethany  Lutheran Church, 550 Cherry St., Neg. Catch up with missed   sessions on our church website. Alpha is a great place to explore faith!
